ENGLAND GOLF TRIPS

A different kind of English getaway.

Royal Birkdale and the northwest coast make a compelling starting point for a links-focused week.

A TRIP WITH ROOM TO BREATHE

The right place.
The right pace.

Northwest England rewards a regional approach. Begin around Southport and the surrounding links, choose the courses that accept your group on its dates, and resist adding a distant English club simply because it is famous. A concentrated route gives the golf more attention and the group less time in transit.

ONE WAY TO EXPERIENCE IT

A starting point, made yours.

Illustrative itinerary.
All arrangements require confirmation.

Day 1

Settle near the links

Arrive and reach your base before trying to squeeze in golf. Allow time for rest after the journey.

Days 2–4

Follow the northwest coast

Use Royal Birkdale as an anchor-course request, then build a practical visitor-course sequence around confirmed availability.

Days 5–7

Make the final rounds count

Add another nearby links round or a day away from golf. Leave room around the final tee time for the trip home.

What to know
before you go.

Let visitor days guide the route

Club visitor windows and event calendars can shape the order of play. Check each course rather than assuming consecutive open dates.

Prepare the group’s details

Have handicap information, group size, and walking preferences ready. Ask about current dress, caddie, and equipment requirements.

Keep the trip regional

A northwest links holiday and a southeast England golf trip are separate concepts. Save a distant must-play course for another visit or allow a meaningful extension.
